Project subject ㆍEstablished BMS information collection devices on 7,363 buses that have are licensed in Gyeonggi-do’s 31 cities and goons when establishing the integrated transportation card system in late December 2005. ㆍ 8,452 buses are currently operated at the present of March 2008.
ㆍAt the present of March 2008, 50 transportation companies in Gyeonggi-do are using BMS information in 175 offices. |
Project purposes ㆍA. The bus information collection and provision system provides useful information such as the optimization of bus operation management, arrival time, required time, and bus intervals to bus companies, bus drivers, and bus users, enhancing the quality of public transportation’s services.
ㆍB. Enhance the convenience when using public transportation through service improvements and seek to stimulate usage of public transportation

Project purposes
The purpose of this project is to install comfortable and pleasant transit point bus stops with comfortable seats, lightings, and guide to routes and bus arrivals, and also with the identity of Gyeonggi-do and each city and goon by linking with the integrated fare system of the capital region currently under operation since July 1st 2007, and putting behind the old and uncomfortable image of previous bus stops. |
Promotion direction ㆍA. Gyeonggi-do transit point bus stops will be installed with shelter structures of various size and type based on the surrounding situation of the bus stop, and convenience facilities will be installed within the structure for bus users. ㆍB. Gyeonggi-do transit point bus stops will be installed with bus stop guiding devices and information provision systems in the bus integrated situation room in order to provide guide in real-time for bus arrivals. ㆍC. Gyeonggi-do transit point bus stops will be planned to be comfortable for maintenance. ㆍD. The design of Gyeonggi-do transit point bus stops are planned to be recommended as standard design when a local government installs a bus stop, so it should be planned to have a simple structure that requires less construction expenses.
